Can I please just remind users of this rule:
EXCHANGING PERSONAL DETAILS
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If I sold it to a Cex shop can I just take it in store or does it have to be sent away? And what happens if they give me less for it than advertised? I suppose I can keep IMEI number and blacklist it if it all goes wrong. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

My boyfriend and I tried to sell our iphones to Cex yesterday (3G 16gb white and 8gb black) - mine has been kept in a hard plastic shell and looked after really carefully and has the slightest marks where I dock it, they would only give me a price for 'not working' !! I would have described it in either 'as new/excellent' or 'good' condition which according to their website would get between £200 - £180. So a wasted trip.
I guess most iPhones have this kind of crack as they are prone to it, but they don't affect the phone use at all. Very frustrating.

iphone 3g prices will tumble as of 6pm tonight when OS4 is released, OS4 isn't as compatible with 3G as it will be with 3GS and 4 so it will affect prices. Quite a few of the features are just not compatible with 3G phones unfortunately.
When 4 comes along later this week prices will again fall. I have just bought a 16GB 3G for my son from a friend for £120.0
