Where could I sell a mobile phone?

I'm trying to get rid of my iPhone, I put it on eBay and it sold but as soon as the guy paid my paypal account got limited and ebay got restricted due to it being an apparent "Suspicious transaction" and I don't have the various things required to remove the limitation so eBay is out the window.

I put it on Gumtree got no response, where else could I try? I could sell it to the likes of envirofone who will give me £150 for it, but it went on ebay for £250, I looked into the classified section of my local paper, it works out at £79 for a week:eek: it seems to a shame just to let it lay in the drawer.

What do they want to have the limitation removed, and why don't you have them?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Photo ID - I don't drive and have never left the country to have a passport

Credit Card Statement - I only have a debit card

Bank Statement - My account is an online bank account, I don't get monthly statements, and a computer print out is of no use apparently.

Supplier info - Well i'm not a business, I got the phone on a contract,

With Paypal there is no leeway, you HAVE to have all this in order to get the limitation removed,

I get the impression paypal think i'm making this up, I genuinely do not have what they have requested. So apparently I can no longer use either services, I mean I have 127 feedback 98% positive and have been using it since 2004.

I don't know what to do, I could open another ebay account but then that would look like im at something, and who would buy and expensive item from someone with 0 feeback anyway.

Couldn't you go into your bank and ask them for a print out of your details? Would they accept that?

Photo ID - I don't drive and have never left the country to have a passport
It's very easy to get photo ID
Credit Card Statement - I only have a debit card
If you have most of the other things you wont have to give this one
Bank Statement - My account is an online bank account, I don't get monthly statements, and a computer print out is of no use apparently.
    Ask your bank
Supplier info - Well i'm not a business, I got the phone on a contract,
If your not a business you don't have to show this. This is normally requested to just catch out the businesses who are stating they are private sellers

No you don't what you need to do is be proactive and speak to them. And keep pushing as sometimes their CS don't know there own rules

From reading your posts it just sounds like you can't be bothered to sort it out. If you want a good price ebay is the best option if not you'll have to except a lot less

Anyhting can be sorted out with paypal if you puit some work into it. My son had problems when he was at uni as his billing address and confirmed address did not match so he was also limited, we got it sorted quite quickly but it took about 3 seperate phone calls. At the time he had no photo id and his bank statements went to my address rather than his, heh just had to be pro active and explain he was a small time private seller who had a term time address which differed to his home address.

technically you will only recveive £225 from ebay after taking of fees.
Take into account paypal fees and your under £220 . Better off with with the local cex shop.

Paypal is a no go, They need photo ID and I'm not applying for a passport or provisional license. I doubt its Cex shop, still feels like a waste as it still has the protective film on it like new :(
