Wouldn't that leave you open to allsorts of legalities?

If you look there's loads of videos with cyclists doing this.

Im gonna start posting video's and image compilations on Youtube, far more public.

ive just bought a camera to do just this. and also to use as evidence when someone actually hits me. three times in 4 days ive been seriously cut up on the motorway, todays was the final straw the c**t literally missed choping the front of my van off by millimeters,if i didn't brake i would have been sent into the crash barrier, this all happened at a tad over 70 on the motorway.

lol well, I just had some guy in a van try to (under)overtake me on the inside (left) just before a two lane merge after a traffic island... Luckily I saw what he was doing and quickly moved into the left lane to stop him, seems I need more than just a front facing camera sometimes.

I think a few posters on here want to take a step back from all this. Most issues like the one the op quotes are mistakes on someones part, including many near misses. Born out of ignorance rather than intent. While I can't supress all my inclinations to jump out of the car and strangle the odd motorist, posting alegations on the net would give me little satisfaction.

A witty one line put down on the spot will have a much greater effect.

(although I did have a coming together with a bloke in a car park once). He dived into a spot I was preparing to reverse into. Unfortunately for him I'm a fisherman and had just collected 1/2 gallon of nice fresh maggots. I hate to thing what the long term effect of that handfull of maggots thrown into his car as he got out had. ;););)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Don't complain when libel solicitors come knocking. How about expending your energy on reporting what you feel to be poor standards of driving to the police, who are actually in a position to take positive action? :)

Recording in a public place must be allowed the police shows tell the naughty people never mind the camera they are allowed to film in a public place.

I'm working on a similar system using my mobile phone and windscreen mount. Camera can film fine just need to write the software to manage how much film is recorded.

Would have been handy today. I'm heading up this hill about a 35 degree incline on a single track road, both my wing mirrors are scraping the hedges to give you an idea, round a corner onto a long straight uphill and there's this spandex-clad pillock heading downhill at about double what I would consider a safe speed. I stop the car and he just carries on. Had to jam it in reverse and pull into someone's driveway (which is wider than the actual road) to let this guy pass and still finds time to give me the middle finger.

If that driveway wasn't there, he'd've likely gone straight into my bonnet and over the roof of my car and it would look like my fault, hence the need for the camera.

And yes the road is a valid route for cars. There's tons of roads like this here in the valleys. They have passing points from time to time and you need to drive slow enough that you can stop before a head on collision, then one of you reverse to a passing point.

Knocking about what? There's nothing anyone can do about being filmed in a public place.

Because there are two lanes for a reason?
Two lanes into the island and two lanes on the other side, which then merge 150yrds later. Normally no issue as long as some monkey isn't trying to stop you from driving by the highway code.
