Advice on whether this is a good iphone 4 idea
I want to get the new iphone 4 when it comes out, and I have been looking at the 02 sim only deals for the iphone. I saw 300 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data for £15 per month. I was then planning to buy the iphone 4 from the apple shop when it's released for £500. What do people think of this as an iphone plan? And do you think it's wise to wait until the release date then get the phone from the apple shop? (I'm currently on 02 so I wouldn't be able to get one from the 02, seeing as they're offering them to existing customers only)

Seems fine - a lot of people are doing it.And do you think it's wise to wait until the release date then get the phone from the apple shop?
I would think your chances of walking in to an Apple store on the 24th and getting one are very slim indeed.(I'm currently on 02 so I wouldn't be able to get one from the 02, seeing as they're offering them to existing customers only)
This doesn't make sense. If you are currently on O2 you are an existing customer.0 -
If you are thinking of the long term i would be tempted to get an android phone contract from t-mobile because they come with 3gb of internet, compared to 500mb / 1gb with all the other networks, sell the phone and use the sim in the iphone
for £15 a month you can get 300 mins, unlimited texts and 3gb of data.
If you get a phone like galaxy portal you can sell it for £150+ on ebay, plus you can get £80 cashback from quidco
Which means the 2 years cost for the sim would be £130, just over £5 a month0 -
Thanks for clearing that up, I wanted to make sure I wasn't shooting myself in the foot by buying a sim only contract and it doesn't work on my new phone. And I meant to put I'm an existing Orange customer which is why I wouldn't be able to buy one from the 02 shop. One more question, would it be possible to pre order a phone from the Apple store and pick it up in store?0

Pre-Orders are now for mid-July sometime, check the Apple Store online for a date.0
