Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)

Hows it running now?

One major thing is your using the resource intensive Mcrapee. It would definitely run quicker if you removed it (using the REMOVAL tool as simply uninstalling leaves bits behind) and installing a free lightweight av on (AVAST, AVIRA or MSE)

I have done all of the above suggested and have got avast anti virus (saving money too!)

It is running quicker, not as fast as it once was but quicker than before. It seems to be slower when running two things at once (firefox and word or 2 word docs).
