    Phew! Have been shopping, been jogging and just done Shred....and now I need to start tidying...I'll sort the living room floor and then I'm going to rest!

    getting some texts from my brother who is in South Africa, it sounds amazing. He went there for the cricket world cup in 2005 and has gone back for the football and is in J'Burg, he loves it there. It sounds like a beautiful place.

    BB, I'd love to go, but I get heckled and rude comments enough here, I'd hate to think what I'd get in Jo'burg. Me and a mate were saying there will be quite a few people coming back with insurance claims, but my thinking is if they're stupid enough to take expensive gear with them to a country with a high crime rate, that's their own look-out for not making sure it was still there.

    I was a bad girl - I went into CS and spent about £19 :eek: I got a brand new and unusual wooden puzzle for a friend for Christmas which cost £9.99, some Boots essential oils, a ball of wool and a jewellery stand. It was the jewellery stand I went in for - it is in the shape of a lady in a lemon satin ball dress. It only cost £3.95. Would have been OK if I stopped at that!
    Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.

    scaredy, I had chicken salad with garlic and herb coleslaw. Was quite nice.
    katsu, don't worry about it too much hun, you could have spent a LOT more, but you didn't, and it goes to charity - therefore your karma gain of the day. My karma gain of the day was giving the floor money (found a couple of quid in Boots) and giving it to the charity that helps rehome ex-racing greyhounds. Started stroking one, and another came up and was rubbing his head on my leg - I think they liked me :)
