Isn't it 3 points and £60?? Or they sometimes offer you a speed awareness course instead of points....

My DH is like bear with sore 'arris after the abysmal England performance....well done to the fan who got into the dressing room and tore a strip off them!

Well I just got home from dropping the kids off at their mothers, to find a nice white envelope for my mother :s she has been caught speeding. I rang her to tell her and she said "well I will have another on Monday then, it got me twice" :s
What are repercussions of a speeding ticket, this states that she was clocked doing 43 in a 30? I'm waiting for the creative way in which she explains that one (she was off to see FM)

It should say in the letter what her options are. If she can do a course, there'll be an application form for one in with the letter. Otherwise, it's 3 points and £60. Then again, the course is £60 as well (£90 if you can't take the first date/time they offer you so make sure she puts when she can't make it on the form).

Either way it is an expensive waste of money, and maybe I should be a little more careful myself when driving.

Hello Cherub-whereabouts in Liverpool are you? I'm a Halewood exile myself!

Just had a hairy moment-nipped out for a paper in my little red sporty number that we just put back on the road, and halfway there, the bonnet flew open!Couldn't see anything, but I could see there was nothing behind me so I screeched to a halt, hopped out and shut it...ould have been nasty!

Same sort of thing happened to me SRM a few years ago, except it wasn't the bonnet but both windscreen wipers flew off. I was driving in heavy rain past a huge lorry and I think the weight of water it sprayed up was too much for my wipers and off they went.

It was like someone had thrown a duvet over my windscreen. Terrified....moi......just a lot!!

On the M25 too, so had to cross two lanes with no visibility in front of me to get onto the hard shoulder. Bricking it I was.....
