Same sort of thing happened to me SRM a few years ago, except it wasn't the bonnet but both windscreen wipers flew off. I was driving in heavy rain past a huge lorry and I think the weight of water it sprayed up was too much for my wipers and off they went.
It was like someone had thrown a duvet over my windscreen. Terrified....moi......just a lot!!
On the M25 too, so had to cross two lanes with no visibility in front of me to get onto the hard shoulder. Bricking it I was.....
I once had my wipers stop working in heavy snow. It was New Year's Day just gone, on the A64 out of Scarborough. Someone upstairs must have been listening as the snow suddenly stopped after that. Very scary though.

Have you checked with both equifax and experian? Some agencies record some debts and others don't/

Well done to DD SRM you must be really proud. Please could I have a bit of banoffee before you go!! Look smart as just returned from hairdressers. Having tea smoked haddock, new potatoes and peas followed by local strawberries and cream. Then off for a soak in the bath before getting ready to go to theatre. Washing keeps getting wetter as we keep having heavy downpours!!:mad::j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

Afternoon,
Me and Sal and the the men/kids are chilling in the conservatory.
All of us v tired after a late night, car issues, colds/hayfever and kids waking up at the crack of bloomin dawn!
Went for a lovely wak around Ironbridge and a scrummy lunch and thinking about making tea...still stuffed from lunch.
Its nice just relaxing.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
