After driving off, i did not remember the paving, and went over it damaging the exhaulst. Called the Equality car insurance company, and this is when my troubles really came to light
They dispatched recovery, which came within an hour. I was told by the recovery man that the claims dept would make contact with me tomorrow morning.
Now the fun begins, I waited till 3pm for Equity to contact me, but noithing, so I telephoned there premium 0844 number On Monday 7th June They advise me they hve no knowledge of my car of were it i, but tel m to complete a claims for on the phone, can you imagne being presented this information???

You get what you pay for.
In addition, you've just cost yourself a whole load of money for possibly the next few years. A full exhaust for most cars is about £100-£150. If you have an excess that is this or more, you'll end up paying for the cost anyway. In addition to that, you'll have a claim lodged on your insurance which will affect your renewal premium.
Personally, I'd have called whatever breakdown organisation I was in, got towed to a tyre and exhaust place and got a new one fitted.
Whats worse is that the chance is that all you've done is pulled one exhaust section out of another and it'd be a job a garage would do for beer money.0 -
