Looking for a broadband + phone line rental

Hello everyone,

I'm moving to a new home soon and I'm therefore looking for the best broadband + line rental option. I have been with Tiscali before and I know I want to avoid them! They are the only one I have tried so far.

I'm not interested in TV, just in broadband and cheap line rental, I use my phone very rarely.
Most of the broadband providers ask you to have BT line rental but I would be happy to find a cheaper line rental with another company.

I thought of joining Toucan : £14.99 Broadband 1MB + £8.99 line rental but I've discovered on this forum that they were with Tiscali :-(

NTL offers £24.99 for line rental + 1MB broadband, it's the cheapest package I've found so far but I don't anything about this company. Are they good?

I can't have Talk Talk free broadband where I live.

Does anyone have a broadband provider to suggest me? Thanks for your help.

plusnet do a phone and internet access package, I'm not up to date on their current prices though

Pipex have a good 8 mg, although not unlimited offer, with phone package, at the moment http://www.pipex.co.uk/

Madasafish are going to launch a full phone product soon! Line rental is going to be £9.99 a month and that can be taken in conjunction with MAX Broadband on the CHEAPER promotion (£10.99 a month for the first six months followed by £16.99 a month for the remaining six months of contract.)

When you say that this will be launched soon, can you give us some idea of when that might be. I'm looking to switch at the end of this month from my provider...should I hang on?

You dont even need a phone line with NTL.
512K Broadband is only £14.99*** per month, and there is no need to take a phone line. Offer only available online until 30th September 2006

At the end of the month through the beginning of October we're going to start making Talk sign ups available to people who have pre-registered their interest through our main website. By the end of October it will be made available to everyone.

Quick question. What do you mean by full phone product. I have a tag on my line - feel free to ask me about how good ezeedsl are :mad: - which they refuse to remove. So if you can provide the line and broadband despite this, I'll sign up.
