bid tv or website?

Has anyone had any experience with bid tv? I just wanted to point out that you can bid on the website (https://www.bid.tv) and avoid paying the telephone charges!
They've also got some really good bargains in the clearance section, and more brand names than i remember from before (sony walkman, johnson and johnson).

Has anyone had any experience buying on the web rather than the tv? Is it any good? Are the prices cheaper than the TV only auctions?
Cheers
Nice to save.

  • Hi
I bought on the web twice - last week and week before both items arrived three days later - no problem. The main advantage is you don't have to pay the £1.50 call cost. I bid on an item that was appearing on the TV - decided the max I wanted to pay - placed my bid and won my item. I have also bought from the clearance section successfully - bought two disney watches and a money box for £18 delivered. We bought phones on the TV auction - paid around £40 - they were £90 ish for the same ones in Argos. Also bought a couple of their towel bales on the TV auction which are great value for money. You can look ahead on the web to check what is coming up on auction and then have a good look around at other places for comparable prices before bidding.

    Good luck!

I bought two stools for my Breakfast Bar - they were a web auction so I saved the call cost. The stools arrived a few days later and they are fab - have seen the same ones for twice the price!! Ive also bought a watch that was a TV auction but I just put my bid in on the internet to save the call cost.

I have bid online instead of ringing the very expensive telephone. Bought 3 things all oline and had a terrible experience with two of the items. To be fair, Bid TV seems to have a good reputation and when I eventually got past their awful customer services dept and spoke to the people at the top, I received compensation. I think I was just unlucky...TWICE.

I have bought loads of stuff from Bid-tv,Price drop-tv and also once from speed auctions.tv and everytime i have used their website. I know that the postage is very high but it is delivered by courier and seems to of got faster recently. The quality of goods is very good indeed ,always brand new and always at a far lower price than can be obtained on the high street. Altogether they are very good and cheap.

If you bid online for things do you still only pay for one lost of postage no matter how many things you buy, like they say on the TV channel?

I've searched their website for the answer to this but can't find anything about it - i would be interested in the answer though as there are a few things I want from the clearance but can't afford the £8 delivery on each item.
