These are my pics. It is my first year growing. I bought quite a few young plug plants as I wasn't sure about growing from seed. The carrots, peas, salad leaves and courgettes were all grown from seed in mid May.

Welsh Sue,Oh my goodness. There would be no getting me to work if I had a view like that.
Lovely garden but that view. Please tell me you don't have Red kites flying over because if you do I'm moving in!!
We are off to the brecon beacons next week with views similar to yours, red kites overhead and a glass of wine in hand I can't think of anywhere nearer heaven.
Okay I'm over the jealousy bit now,but seriously you are in lovely surroundings.0 -
I haven't got quite the same spectacular views welshsue has, but I do get red kites flying over the garden, often at below roof height, amazing to watch, you can see all the colours at that distance.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

he he...:rotfl: fraid we do have red kites flying over... fantastic sight.. Also have Harris Hawks, there is an owl and a woodpecker close by as well plus the metal variety as well (RAF. lol)
We are lucky to live here, surrounded by farm land. The only thing is it is a bit remote as we have to drive everywhere, no public transport...0 -
I jest not I would never leave the house (and garden) if I was as remote as that and the fact that there are red kites well that would be the icing on the cake!!he he...:rotfl: fraid we do have red kites flying over... fantastic sight.. I on the other hand am a ten minute walk from town so never really have to drive anywhere but in quite rural surroundings so we still get plenty of wildlife (but no red kites);o(
Lotus eater; How gorgeous are they, you sre really lucky to be able to see them so close up.Where we are staying next week has a patio that overlooks a valley so they fly past at eye level, spectacular I can't wait!!0 -

That's a very nice looking beetroot. How come it's sitting so high out of the ground? If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Roosterpotatoes: Why do you cut the head off broccoli to promote the side shoots? What does that achieve? I have planted quite a few broccoli and two are getting very big and wide - should I be doing something?0
