Sky Broadband .

Hello,

I currently have Wanadoo (orange) s my current ISP but I am considering Sky .

I don't need all the bits as ,we are already wireless .Do you think they will give a discount for just switching over .

BTW I am green when it comes to computers .

Also what is a download cap ?

Thanks in advance

Did you register your interest, and have you received an e-mail to say you can get it on your exchange?
As Sky broadband is free for the basic package I don't see what discount you would be expecting.
As they are an LLU operator they may wish you to use their router I think its a customised netgear dg834g.

A download cap is a limit to the amount of data you are allowed to receive when connected to the net. Point your mouse to the two linked screens on your task bar and you will see what you have recieved in your current session.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

You need to register with Sky and they will let you know when your area becomes live. Don't expect it too quickly though - think next June is their target to get most of the country up to date.

See that your with Wanadoo (Orange) - how long have you been with them? The reason I ask is if its longer than 12 months then you should ring them up and aks them to reduce your costs. I'll post a thread that I started in the Broadband forum which should give you all the help you need

Here you go. Plan would therefore be to try and reduce what your paying now and then switch over to Sky as soon as they become available.
