Hi all
Just getting ready to cook some chicken bought yesterday with a use by date of tomorrow - It stinks! I have double bagged it and put it back in the fridge.
Just before i ripped up the receipt
Do you think the supermarket will accept it when I take it back tomorrow?
Was looking forward to chicken too
It's not a legal requirement to keep/show a receipt for a refund. You only have to prove the item was brought from the store.0 -
And the simplest way of doing that is to show the receipt, isn't it?HouseHuntr wrote: »You only have to prove the item was brought from the store.

The fact that the magnetised strip isn't triggering the security alarms when the OP enters the store should be a clue that it hasn't been stolen.
Other than that, a store reward card records the purchase.
And I've ever been checked anyway, they've just refunded it.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

And they put those on chickens worth less than £5, do they? The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
