E7even'rs Out There - Noticed Anything??

I've been with e7even for awhile now and everything has been fine - no downtime, speed ok, etc, etc. Except that I've noticed that my access speed seems to be slower for the last couple of weeks.

Tend to visit the BBC website quite often and noticed it seemed slower to load the page.

Ran the ADSLGuide speed test and it came back at 460 (approx) which is fine, but I still cannot cannot get it out of my head that my connection seems slower. E-mailed e7even but they were not aware of any issues.

Any other e7even'rs noticed anything?

Hi there, as much as I love this ISP, I noticed some speed loss myself. ASDLguide speeds were fine so i dismissed it however this week I knew something was wrong. I downloaded a program called Dan Elwell's Speed Test that confirmed that there was a slowing down in the ping and download times from UK servers and lost packets. Thinking it was something wrong on my end I disconnected everything else was the phone line but still persisted. Today I emailled e7even with my speed test results and they came back with:

Dear Mr X,

There is currently an upgrade being performed on our core network to correct the issues you are receiving. The problems you are experiencing should be resolved soon.

hopefully all will be well soon as they have been excellent so far. Do a speed test yourself using Dan Elwell's Speed Test, I would be interested in the results you get.

Can't honestly say I'd noticed anything...but now you've mentioned it will be on the look-out....


Have nothing but praise for e7even though...been with them for 18 months now.

My speed has recently got much faster ....... thanks to the £35 I paid for 13 month upgrade to 1MB !!
