He has just come home with lovely flowers and a huge box of chocolates and a lovely card.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Aw John sounds a sweetie. He's a keeper!

Our 11th wedding anniversary is tomorrow and OH has already mentioned it - he forgot yr 4 (or 3) but it didn't matter at all - it is just a date and not at all reflective of the relationship. He felt bad about it but soon forgotten that he forgot.

Have a VERY nice meal tonight OP and congrats on 22 years.

Life is so hectic sometimes, it is easy to let a date slip, that he was so mortified shows he cares more than a card ever would.

  • Been married 3 years and hubbie forget our second, i was upset at the time because it was only 2 years in and thought "what will he be like in 10 years time". But looking back i guess its only a day. He didn't forget this year, because promptly after realising he had forgotten he set a reminder on his mobile for this year. Lol.

    This thread made me laugh.
We forgot our 1st and it was only when we got a card in from SIL that we remembered.
You would think after that we would make a mental note. But we forgot the 2nd, 3rd and 4th only remembering our 5th. Saying that we have been together so long now that its just another day.

My wife read the card on the flowers i sent her before she realised it was our first anniversary.

My father and I were in the pub last year and another guy who married 2 days before my mum and dad, asked what he was doing tonight for their 30th anniversary, my dad had completely forgotten.
  • My parents are unlikely to forget their wedding anniversary - cos it's February 15th!
