Best I have found is that you're not using a touch tone phone...there was a wesbite (something like 'speaktoarealperson.com) which told you the shortcuts to get to a person but can't remember what it is! Anyone?

Oh, and with RM, it takes around 12 minutes to get through to a real person so tell you that they don't know and they have ruined a highly needed British system.

Of course if they ask you to press option blah blah....sometimes pressing one option then not selecting an option (or saying "operator/agent" on voice automated ones) can get you through to an actual person quicker than following the options menu, although be aware one or two companies i have come across also cut you off if you dont select any options.

I rang Computershare the other day and the silence things works a treat!

you think? would they be undercutting RM on a set price for the whole UK?
