littlewoods bullying

Today my girlfriend rang up to renew ger credit so she could reorder only to find that she couldnt. Firstly i paid the outstanding balance quoted by yourselfs only to ring up to find she still owes 1 pound on one and 50p on the other, if she hadnt rang up she would of bee none the wiser and incurred charges through late payments. Secondly another account has been sold on to a third party even though she owed nothing on it she cleared the balance only to find months later that you had been charging her late payment fees for a balance 12 pounds !!! which she had paid and cleared the account. We have had many discussions regarding this and have stated very clearly she does not owe it which she doesnt. You insist she has to clear it or she cant get credit and it will effect her gettig credit with other company as well. She has paid all her debts and is been bullied by your company and now has bad credit because of your poor customer service!!!!. What are u going to do to put thiis right i intend to post this to every site for consumers so that other people can see what this company is like !!! you have the chance to correct it and proof me wrong !!

The problem you face Lee, is that they won't know who your GF is.

Cant really give more details i just gave a very basic outline the problem is this company have made mistakes regarding the balance which was owed on 2 occassions but fortunately we found out we still owed the small amount of 50 p and 1.50 to 2 seperate accounts even though we paid to the penny the outstanding amount they quoted us. They say we owe money when we dont and we cant do anything about it why should we pay somethig we dont owe ?? but they know that we have to prove we dont owe rather than them prove we do !!

Could the £1.50 and £0.50 be additional interest that was charged on the account balances prior to them being paid off???

Sounds like it could be outstanding interest.

So Littlewoods have not supplied your girlfriend with (or access to) any statements?

yes she had statements but i checked with them as i advised i was paying the full amount at paypoint which is why they is additional outstanding balance but they didnt tell me this was inclusive as i asked them.

My girlfriend consolidated 2 catalogue accounts the third which is the one which is now sold on was paid off therefore didnt consolidate it. She only become aware that she owed money still on littlewoods extra when she was sent the wrong slip to pay through paypoint which is her usual method payment. As soon as it come to our attention we had have the money moved from littlewoods extra to littlewoods thats when we told them the account had been cleared months before and they had continued to charge late payment fees.

The rediculous thing is the amount was just 12 pounds in question she had no reason not to pay it but because she ahd clered taht amount she didnt owe anything and was unaware she did.

Of course they have to convince you that you owe them money.

Ask them to prove you do owe the money.

we have asked them all they have done is show a statement, they have argued because they sent the wrong slips and we knew nothing of the littlewoods direct balance outstanding we paid it on the slips they sent. They was slips for littlewoods direct when infact they should of been for littlewoods we had the transfered to teh correct account however it show that we have paid something on this so they are saying we accepted it !!. when we at worst tricked into paying on the account or a error that they sent the wrong slips.
