Have i got the right update on my Desire?

I have been looking at my desire tonight and just wanted to check ive got the most up to date updates on my phone.

I have got

Firmware Version
2.1-update 1

Build number
1.15.405.4 CL 155070

Software number
1.15.405.4

I just wanted to check as im sure ive seen somewhere that mine are old ones.

I am on Orange and with a unlocked phone.

Also does anyone have any more news on when The 2.2 update is coming?

No you don't have the latest version released a week or so ago. You will automatically get an alert over the air to do the update, make sure your battery is decently charged plus better if you are on WiFi.

You can check it manually, press menu - settings - about phone - system software updates - check now manually. If available for your phone then you will get the update.

If not yet available then you will have to wait till HTC release it for your phone, they are doing it in batches. I had called them as one of my desires is on the latest version and the other is on the older version you have but have to wait till released for the other phone.

Or I can copy the file to my second phone and launch it via astro app. You can try that too if you have access to another desire with the latest version. I haven't tried it yet but may try it over the weekend if I am not busy otherwise.

Just checked and it tells me that my phone is up to date so will have to wait.

Is that the 2.2 update?

No its not the 2.2 froyo update. It is a minor update.
