Only because you can see that you are being charged for incoming calls at the time!!
I agree in that Prepay has My Europe currently running.... free, and incoming and outgoing calls are 35ppm.
On Pay Monthly you could have taken ITS: were you not offered this at time, or did you at least mention you were going to be make a lot of calls? You could then argue you should have been offered ITS and attempt to get a reduction... however, it would probably mean you going above Customer Service (to Complaint Review level) or threatening to leave (but to be honest, on a £20 per month tariff I don't think they'll try that hard to save you.... giving you back £488 is the equivalent of them giving you 2 years free line rental!!!)
You know what they say, try your luck. Mention your loyalty so far and if you did call first re roaming play heavily on the fact that you should have been offered ITS.OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -

Why should O2 treat you different to anyone else. You admit in a previous post you knew calls would be expensive, and you were expecting high charges.0
