See #5 and #70 -
Saw 5 but somehow missed 7, thanks.. Hopefully he'll follow the advice on 30 and let us know.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

True, but nobody is going to pinch that and stick it on their own windscreen, are they?0 -

Watch out for signs that say something like "All vehicles must pay*" – "*see Clause xxx.xx Parking Regs." as it has been found that if you could be bothered to go to the council offices, get a copy of their parking regulations, then clause xxxx is that motorcycles can park for free. Some of them have been trying to keep it quiet, so that motorcyclist buy tickets they don't need.
Out of interest, given that pay and display parking attendants are supposed to give you reasonable time to visit the machine, read the rules, buy a ticket and return to your car/bike to stick it. If councils then decide to move half the rules away from the sign and into the cellar of an office on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware of The Leopard", should they not also give you time to visit the council office and read them?0 -
I'm a bit confused here I don't see why you think that because you're riding a scooter you can park in a car park for free. I have been riding bikes for 25years and have never used car parking spaces in pay carparks, in my experience there is always somewhere to park a bike and not use a car space.Nothing to see here, move along.0

I think the op's getting a bit of a hard time here too, yes he's committed a parking violation but why try to hang draw and quarter him??:o
It does raise the question tho' and may be covered in some of the links, but why can't you park any number of scooters/bikes that will fit in a single space?, assuming that's the case.
Oh wait, we are talking "council", all getting clearer now;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

The same reason that many pay and display tickets are allegedly non-transferable.
Unrelated, but someone gave me a 2 hour ticket that they still have 90 minutes left on. When I'd finished using it, I saw someone parking up and gave them the remaining 30 minutes. I do it just on principle. If there is no-one around to give it to, I'll stick it over the coin slot on the pay and display machine so the next person notices.0 -
