Hello

I renewed my contract 3 months ago with my network provider, a deal was agreed for £20 per month 400 mins and u/l texes.

I noticed on my 2nd bill i was being charged £25.

My previous contract was £20 and this is why i wanted the same again and also the minutes were less than my last contract so i would never of agreed to less minutes and more money....

In the end i settled for less minutes but i would never agreed to paying more money..

Anyway i couldnt be sure of this info but i had all details written down and ive only just found the details from when i was being informed of new contracts 3 months ago.

Ive just got off the phone to them and guess what, they say they have it recorded on their notes that it was £25 agreed. tut.

Im really annoyed because i know their conning me out of £5 PER MONTH.

Is there anything i can do ?

thanks

You could say that you have it recorded in your notes that the agreement was for £20 and say that if they wish to dispute it they will have to refer to the transcript of the order over the phone.
There are people with a better knowledge of how this works who will tell you but I think depending on the retailer depends whether they charge you for a copy ????
It's not just about the money

You can ask for a copy under Data Protection Legislation but that could cost you £10.

My advice would be to go into writing first. Tell them that you agreed to the lower amount and that they have made a mistake. As them to check the recording and confirm to you in writing that you agreed to the higher amount.

Now if they do that, they lay themselves open to all sort of charges if they lie, so I would tend to accept that if they confirm in writing that they have checked the recording and it is as they said, and accept that you need to pay the extra £5.
