Blinkin Nora....I'm up 92% in less than a week......I never expected it to bounce so steeply. I only managed to get one trade of £10k in.....I was planing on drip feeding money in over the next month.
Not sure what to do now.......add more or sit & wait? (not planning on selling....yet)0 -
dont get too over confident here, its gone up 100% in a week odd. With excite its difficult to predict, either way well done. I would personally take some off the table.waveneygnome wrote: »Blinkin Nora....I'm up 92% in less than a week......I never expected it to bounce so steeply. There will be profit takers at some point.
And you have to wonder wether the BOD new about the tax break coming and hence bought big
either way well done to all holders who got in low a great prospect these guys if they can get DECC approval0 -
Just for the record (I don't like people posting when they buy & not when they sell!):
I sold all my XEL this morning for £2.06 - banked the profits and I'll wait & watch.
I still think XEL has further to go in the next yr or two, but until the new rig arrives and action starts, I think the sp will drift. IMO.
Of course if Statoil did something....thats a whole new ball game0 -

Its definitely still weak then. What made you buy at 114p especially
They should see a boost when they secure funding I think. I think 172 and 133 are possible places it could settle and maybe start a more reasoned rise0 -
What made me buy at 1.14?
I have been following XEL for the past yr. Bobbyj (another poster on MSE) first alerted me to the share.
I ignored his suggestion/hint to buy at 1.40....then 1.50....1.80.....
I finally bit the bullet and bought some at 1.90, 2.00 and 2.01....I held them for a couple of months and sold them for 3.20....a day before they went up to 4.20!
I've been following them and watching the drift down for no apparent reason - except chatter on forums.
When they got to 1.14 I just had a gut feeling that this was a crazy fall from 4.20 to 1.14.
I am no expert at all.
Just been lucky in (some) of my timing.
For the record, my other holdings are:
SL -in since 2.14
RRL - in since 5p
CAD - in since 22p
SIV - in since 50p (but sold all holdings this week at ave 1.01)0
