  • So you claim it doesn't happen, but can't provide any evidence of that (beyond 'claiming' it)?

There are plenty of people 'claiming' that it does happen. How are their 'claims' less valid than yours?

I can't show an example of something that doesn't happen, can I?

The papers don't print headlines like "NORFOLK MAN NOT FINED FOR SPEEDING" ... Do they? However, I imagine they would love to print "NORFOLK MAN FINED FOR DRIVING 1 MPH OVER LIMIT".

He said: “I went on a speed awareness course after that and it didn’t include counting the distance between lampposts.”

    Speed Awareness Course

All four Police Forces in Wales are committed to road safety and the education of drivers. A Speed Awareness scheme was introduced in North Wales in February 2006 and in Mid & South Wales in August 2009 as an alternative to a fine and penalty points on the driving licence.

To be offered a speed awareness course he would have first received a NIP! So I think thats fulfilled the requirements of this post...
Of the MILLIONS of FPNs and NIPs dished out each year for speeding, just find me ONE example which backs up your argument.

He also states he had a clean license until then, but makes no mention of points, and states he had a fine when a speed awareness course avoids the fine, so I think that gives some idea of his relationship with accurate recal. Next?.

  • From a blind man who can't remember not getting any points or paying a fine? Is that the BEST example you found, or the only one?

So all you have is your 'claim'.

Just admit you're wrong - it does actually make you more worthy of respect to be able to do that when shown to be wrong. ;)
