Nokia 5800 screen broken??

Hi all,

Can you help me please? I picked up my phone today and my screen has all these lines across it. I can't read any of my messages and it's driving me nuts. I've turned the screen lock on and off. And tried to take the battery out but it's not working

I've got 6 more months on this contract and want to port away from voda to o2 as I've got their broadband. Please tell me it's fixable

I had a very similar problem recently....

Try removing the battery, then the SIM card and memory card. Replace the battery, and try turning on the phone. Hopefully this should work. If it does, then remove the battery again, replace the SIM card and memory card (and the battery!) and switch on again. Hopefully, this will work for you

I had the problem for about 3 months. There's some stuff on google about it I think I was googling nokia 5800 screen blur. You can go to the Nokia website and make an enquiry, I think they ask your imei number and can tell you if your phone is under warrrenty. So long as you have proof of purchase i think they will fix it. Sadly I bought someone's upgrade on Ebay and didn't have the pfoof of purchase to send with it so I've had to bite the bullet and get a new phone. If you turn off and on the screen lock it will eventually straigthen out. I could handle it on the whole unless I was making calls to somewhere like 02. The screen would be fine then i'd take my phone from my ear to select an option and the screen would be blurred.
