nope that wasnt to say you had poor grammar, just saying why people assume foreigners who dont understand what people say have poor grammar, ie like you said in your post 'me not understand english', which you assumed the lad had poor grammar. If that makes sense, never enjoyed english lessons at all, so I dont have the best grammar.0 -
apologies i misread you. excuse my rant earlier i had a delicate head. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0

you're obviously being facetious.
but i woud still say if they think this country is worth doing business in, they should learn its language. The word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.

With it being a restaurant, they employ people, and the waiters may NOT be the owners of that restaurant who may be able to speak perfect english as I know many chinese restaurant owners who can. And why do you assume they are not british bred?0 -

There was a Channel 4 programme a while ago with that title
I myself don't have a problem with immigrants themselves (my parents were immigrants from the Caribbean). I do have a problem, like a few people, with those who act as if they're entitled to everything. I was in a fish and chip shop one night being friendly with the staff, and this woman (who was foreign) came in and ordered food in an arrogant manner.0
