vista back to xp,help.

to be honest i got vista cd+product key from a friend,
the key is not validateing thats why i want to go back.

is there no way of wipeing the hard drive +starting with a fresh install of xp?

with a disc, and serial, yes.

Just reboot with the disc inside the drive, format and add serial when requested

post 1 said you hadn't got the xp serial no?

you might have to change the boot order in the bios to get it to boot to cd before hd

im not clued up on pcs.

its getting sorted tomorrow,my friends brother works in pc repair shop + hes going to do a fresh install of xp with working product key.
