Eon fixonline6 to fixonline8

To Eon rep, if I switch from fixonline6 to fixonline8 via the internet will I incur any penalty costs?

Electricity will cost me about £1.10 a year more but gas will be cheaper by about £26 a year.

Thanks, Marcus

    Hi Marcusp,

You should be able to change from FixOnline version 6 to version 8 without incurring any charge.

If you experience any problems whilst doing this please give me a shout and I'll help get it sorted.

The last of the V8 Interceptors. :D

V9 will probably be more expensive, if the MSE news is right.

I have also been looking into swapping however i am on fixonline 3 which doesnt end till December, so do you think i would incur the £30 charge for swapping from fixonline 3 to fixonline 8?
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

    Hi gonzo127,

As before you shouldn’t experience any charge if changing from version 3 to version 8 of FixOnline.

Contact me if you have any difficulties and I’ll be happy to help.

  • Hi Brian,

Sorry to be a pain but does this mean that if you switch from one fix online to another there will be no fee?
I'm on Fix Online 5 and want to sign up to 8 also. Would I incur a charge or is it free to change tariff?

    Hi Flower Power mark 2,

That’s right; customers currently changing from historic FixOnline tariffs to FixOnline version 8 are not incurring a cancellation charge.

    Hi Eon rep (Brian),

I am currently an eon customer with online account access - is there anyway I could save money from switching anywhere? Sorry to sound vague just I know what I can look for to see if it's possible :)

    Thanks.
    Gareth.

    Hi Gareth,

You can use the product/tariff change function when logged into the online account to find the best tariff for your needs.

It might also be of benefit to you to pop your usage figures into a comparison website to see how we stack up.

I just moved from Fixonline 3 to Fixonline 8, although as I don't use much gas the only benefit I will see is the additional 3% electricity discount. Can't see the prices dropping any time soon so decided to fix and give up the Tesco clubcard points in return for the additional discount and the knowledge that my bills won't shoot up any time soon!
