Sending text messages to South Africa
Hi everyone,
I am looking to go on a Pay as you Go simcard but I regularly text my family & friends in South Africa so need to get the best possible deal. I know I should just pop into a mobile phone shop like Phones 4 U but was hoping somebody would be able to shed some light before I do that.
any advice?
thank you in advance

Are you texting SA numbers? or british numbers abroad?
I know for example T-Mobile charge 20p to text a foreign network.. but you need to check with the individual network to see if they can text South Africa0 -

I am texting South African numbers from UK. I guess I should just check with individual providers to see what they charge.
Thank you for the advice and links, I will check it out!Are boogers vegetarian?!?

some of the smaller providers will offer the cheapest prices on PAYG, look at lyca mobile as an example - http://www.lycamobile.co.uk

Being you have put this ? I assume you have the use of a computer, if that is the case well why not use Skype, its free and if the people you wish to talk to have Skype as well you can chat for free or text and if you both have a cam you can also see each other and its all free also. If you happen to have an iphone you can chat that way there is an app in Itunes for that which again is freeLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs
