I think that integrity is priceless. It can't be bought for £5 or any amount of money, as far as I'm concerned.

No such luck here, if she has red hair then it's 50p and a bag of peanuts and she can do what she wants, any other hair colour I require £1.
Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.

I would report them to Amazon for attempting to bribe you. Amazon may well offer you a discount voucher for telling them.

Thanks for all the answers - great to see such different opinions! I have sent an email to Amazon reporting them and will see what they have to say. If they don't seem to mind then I shall try and claim the £5 - there are lots of other people leaving positive feedback so tbh my negative feedback is pretty lost already! The question is, was I just a one-off disaster or do lots of people take the £5?!

    Dear Customer,

"Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk Marketplace.

I'm sorry to learn that you've had concerns about your seller's request to remove feedback. As we note in our Community Rules, "any attempt to manipulate ratings of any participant is prohibited."

I have forwarded your message to our Seller Policing team for their consideration.

Rest assured that each report will be investigated and the appropriate action taken. However, for account privacy reasons, we cannot disclose the outcome of any investigation we may perform.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and for choosing Amazon.co.uk."

I guess that means you've lost the £5 though.

    Amazon encourage this actually.

They may have sent a email saying otherwise, but this is official procedure in all but name. You are meant to negotiate your way out of negative feedback, and Amazon don't like to get involved.

I would have took the £5. Once you've posted that feedback, or indeed had a refund, it counts as a order defect and Amazon are very strict about how many defects you can have.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

I can understand that they encourage a customer to add to feedback after a probelem has been resolved, but to encourage a company to offer bribes to get the customer to remove feedback is unacceptable.

How do you know this is policy in all but name?

On the other hand, I have bought a fair amount from Linens Direct and my bedding is lovely and still is after a year's usage.

And no, I don't work for them!
