Amazon - £5 for withdrawing feedback - Would you?

This just doesn't seem right to me - but then £5 is £5. What do you think?
I bought something through Amazon from a seller, Linens Limited. They were nice on the phone but the sale was a disaster from start to finish. I left negative feedback - which I feel was deserved. I just had an email from LL offering me a £5 refund if I withdraw the feedback.
I wouldn't mind £5, but can't help but think this makes a mockery of the whole idea of leaving feedback and that it shouldn't be allowed. So... would you take the money or stick to your ethics?

What was the problem? The linens or the delivery?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

both, lol. Delivery took a while. Wrong item sent. return collection arranged 3 times but never came. Told to use post office but wasn't told I had to use signed for : since the parcel didn't need signing for it wasn't processed - just let in a corner even though they were expecting it and it had a letter explaining everything on it with ref number. Correct item sent EVENTUALLY but I have washed it once and it has a hole in it already. I should return it, but its a full duvet set for my dd (duvet AND duvet cover etc) and its not worth the trouble trying to live without while going through another month (+) of phone calls and failures with Linens Ltd. Out with the needle and thread...0

Then I would let your feedback stand. Are you the only neg amongst a sea of positives?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

I wouldn't compromise my stance for a fiver. If your feedback is honest and factual then it deserves to stay.0

I can't see the problem, take the £5.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0

I don't think it makes a mockery of the feedback. I would be happy to deal with a company who compensate me when they make a mistake. Can you change feedback perhaps "Order was mess from start to finish but company offered a full refund"?0

Or how about: "Company offered me a bribe to remove this feedback about how awful they were."Trev. Having an out-of-money experience!

Thats why bad companies get away with it, they call this bribes. If bad feedback remained perhaps you wouldn't have used them at least others may have avoided them if they read honest feedback0

Ask yourself how badly do you want the £5 or need it? Myself would take it because £5 is £5 and would feed my cat for a week.Jan Wins: .0
