Its the only case whwer proof of posting is enough for paypal to protect you from the charge back

.......(Realise OP has sent special delivery so should be covered)

Until recently POP used to be good enough for an unauthorised use of a CC, but came across this in the Paypal Safety Advice home » Protection for sellers » PayPal chargeback guide

    2. Unauthorised use of credit card

    You should provide:
    • Tracking number for delivery of the item
    https://www.paypal-marketing.co.uk/safetyadvice/ChargebackGuide.htm

so unless I am reading the info incorrectly it looks like tracking may now be required

It may well be a stolen CC and the person who it was stolen off just realized and contacted there provider. If not its just them trying to pull a fast one.

The worrying thing is that the Tracking number on the receipt doesn't work on the Royal Mail site.
I don't know if it's due to the elapsed time?

Your item with reference ZW*********GB is currently progressing through our network.

Your item is currently progressing through our network for delivery.

If it is not showing as being delievered you may have problems if paypal have changed the policy and POP is no longer good enough.

If you have sent special delivery RM has not provided you with the sevice you paid for, Ring RM and ask them to update the website/provide you with a signature.

You do not need to worry.

For a fraudulent chargeback ALL YOU NEED IS Certificate of Posting. As you have uploaded that, you need to wait. You will get your funds unfrozen in due course. It doesn't matter if the item never tracks, this is a chargeback for fraud, Paypal require only a COP.

However, I would report the other issues/suspicions only once your case is closed. Paypal are a bit thick and may cloud the issue.

For FRAUDULENT transactions you need a CoP only.

For INR you need online tracking.

    Simples.
