diable - yes I have. I did mention that for ultimate performance dual booting is hard to beat, but Parallels does a really, really good job, and you don't have to worry about sharing docs as your home folder can be shared automatically.
aliblue - try running Parallels, without the DVD in the drive. You should be presented with a list of your virtual machines, delete the one you created and start again. Create a new virtual machine, and a wizard will take you through what settings to use. It will then ask you to put the Windows disc in, and will do an automated install for you. Hi all
thanks for all your help. I finally list my blonde head last night and along with a glass of wine I installed windows 7 no probs. Have even installed my sage accounts now and poured in my accounts back ups. YAY. Off to Portugal knowing it's ready to go on my return. Feel quite proud of myself having only switched a mac on for the first time yesterday. Loving it already!!
