OK, you're probably correct, but sometimes you just have to accept that there's some nutters out there and get on with it. Driver's probably had a pissy day with knobheads not letting him out of bus stops and delays etc.

Sorry, but the police driver who's observing my driving said that I should never stop too close to the vehicle in front that I can't see his tyres and some tarmac.

There should be ample room to move out should the vehicle in front break down ;)

As I said above, but it's not a legal requirement is it? It's more common sense.

It's a matter for judgement, but was he being nutter or just trying to save space?

Save space?? :rotfl: Yeah I reckon a bicycle could have fitted in between, sideways :rotfl:

I can't see how pressing up against my bumper helped him get to his destination any quicker???

I've been driving buses for 7 years and am leaving next week, as foreverskint says, crap pay and long hours.

When training, all drivers would have been advised to leave enough room to get out, timetables to stick to and all that:rolleyes:

I would agree that the bus in the photo's is too close but unfortunately, has not committed any crime.

Also, there would be a possibility that you would be nicked for driving without due care as you are facing the wrong way and holding a camera. If it's a mobile you're holding, that's another offence and would be inadmissible as evidence as it's a digital photo.

By all means complain to the bus company, but he driver hasn't committed an offence so they won't do anything.

Sorry to tell it like it is, but they won't care. The only thing that all companies agree on is that if drivers are skimming then they take action. Not leaving a big gap in stationary traffic would be of no interest to them.

    Sorry:o

I dont think that theres much that you can do - the bus driver hasnt broken any laws, and/or you wont be able to prove much now even though you have taken pictures. If you contact the bus company you will no doubt only receive a standard letter of apology back - if anything at all! I am pretty positive there is nothing that the police can do either.

Thanks :) I'll just leave it then. I was interested to see your responses.

I admit I did take one of the pics yes, but it was totally standstill traffic. Yes, still wrong I know though not unsafe - the car wasn't going anywhere :rotfl: . I didn't know digital pics weren't admissible as evidence so thanks for telling me that.

I don't know how true that statement is, some policey type person told me on another forum.

Apparently, it's the reason that speed cameras and surveillance cameras are not digital.
