Returning Phone To Vodafone

I just bought a phone from a Vodafone shop (yesterday), and want to return it. Its a touch screen device and I'm finding the response from it awful, half the time the buttons dont work properly.

Anyone know what kind of response I'll get from them?

You don't have any statutory right to return it (unlike if you'd bought it online/over phone where the law says you have 7 days to return for any reason), but the shop probably has it's own returns policy. Have you checked to see what that says?

Unless of course there is a fault with the phone, but i fear a lot of touch screens are like this.

VF's in store policy now is to replace a non faulty phone within the first 28 day (you used to have a 14 day refund policy).

IMO it doesnt sound faulty jsut like a bad phon, maybe a resistive rather than capacitive?

    What phone is it.
    Back by no demand whatsoever.

I recently entered into a contract with Vodafone and got the new HTC Desire, a lot of friends have this phone and I became a fan too. However part of the screen on mine is faulty, I bought over the phone and awaiting for Vodafone to eventually get some more HTC Desires back in stock, since it was dead out of the box, I am entatled to a brand new replacement.

So, it could actually be a fault with the touch screen. You could try a reset as well as re-calibrating the touch screen through the device settings. If that doesn't work, that I'd say it's a faulty screen.

Just seen on this post that the HTC desire was back in stock this morning, I didn't get a phone call to arrange for mine to be replaced as promised!
