How much is it?
Sometimes, getting out of debt is not as important as preserving the relationships around you, dont be so hard on yourself honey pie.
xxx:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hmmm. Well I am one of those people that doesn't know your situation so what I say here may not be very helpful.
But my first reaction was to think that couples do need to spend time together. I know you have debt...I have debt too....but OH & self have booked our first holiday away together since we got together 4 years ago. I really think that people need to spend time away from the daily grind if it can at all be managed.
Also the children need good times to look back on as well where possible. No-one is saying kids can't survive if they don't go to the Bahamas every 6 months but......if it is a nice break where they actually do stuff/you do stuff as a family together....it will be priceless for them.
I hope you go on the holiday...I hope you guys have a great time and maybe, just maybe, it will pull you all a bit closer again.

Please don't be annoyed with yourself.
For what it's worth, I think you should have that family holiday. and you have a year to be inventive to pull some spending money together. If you research where you are going as well, you may find some cheap/free things to do there or think of games on the beach to play or something!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Fair point from lynz though although I can imagine losing the deposit now would be a right painBank Balance: In the black for the moment.
