Not sure whether plumbing/electrical would be such a good choice at the mo, either. I believe there are quite a few Polish plumbers, builders, etc., whose prices are lower than those requested by indigenous British persons.
Off topic, but in my experience, Polish builders' (and carpenters') work is much better than that of your average British cowboy. I have used both several times and am sorry to have to say it but found the Brits (with one exception) very expensive, arrogant to the point of rudeness, and not good at the job. The Poles, on the other hand, have been efficient, quiet and polite. Hope they continue thus and don't learn bad habits from the indigenes. :mad:
So that's why I don't think these are great professions for an indigenous Brit to be in at present. . .0 -
