I'm not sure that would work though, it moves fast in there at times, so you would have 96 seperate conversations running if it gets a lot busier surely?

Must be a method to what we are percieving as madness?

I used to post in the Arms every night, now I struggle to keep up sometimes:o

It's a standard part of being a moderator. When I train them, the first thing I tell them is "you'd better grow a thick skin or you won't last 5 minutes." Having said that, my moderators are paid to take flack.

I agree it's not the mod's fault, it's a sign of unplanned community management.

What's the difference between board guide and moderator?

Board guides get teeny amount of £ and can not delete/amend posts/threads?

both closed threads today had turned into chat threads which have caused enough problems over the last few weeks

sometimes threads are closed due to a resource issue if they are generating abuse reports

sometimes they are closed because of unsuitable posts that may have been deleted so it can be difficult for someone reading the thread to see the problem

Martin and the team have explained time and again that they cannot afford to spend time/money on the nonmoney boards and asked people not to question decisions on locked/deleted threads

I am a volunteer and am not paid
