Getting Sky installed over the weekend.

I'm getting Sky HD installed over the weekend (Best Buy Offer) in my brothers name, new customer deal (I cancelled Sky a year ago) The dish i have is 2-3 yrs old but i replaced the LNB to quad LNB for sky+ downstairs and a single cable to my bedroom for freeview using an old sky box.
Will he replace the dish, all cabling and take my old sky box away when he does the install or leave everything as is, signal is good on both boxes and all is well insulated against our weather lol

The old box/cabling/dish is your property, not Sky's. You own it outright after it's installed.
I would imagine that if the existing dish and cabling is serviceable then he will just swap the box-could you not have opted for a self install, since no other work is involved if you already have a twin feed?
PS: you are not getting Freeview on the existing box, you are getting the Sky FTA channels-similar but not the same.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I done the application on-line and didn't see any option for self install, would of been a hell of a lot easier if i had seen this option.
Should be a nice easy install for the engineer then.
    Cheers for your reply matey.

If the existing cabling goes over the roof or has been damaged,I'd ask the installer to replace it.

Cabling/dish at the back of the house and all looks spot on. I think i'll ask him to check it all out just to make sure i have no problems in the near future.
