Hi Guys
I've recently moved abroad, in all the rush and everything forgot to cancel my Vodafone contract, before I call customer services and get told to Give 30 Days notice in writing, does anyone know of any other way I can cancel without doing that ?
My 12 month contract ended over a month ago and they did mess me around a couple of months ago when they suspended my service for no reason and gave no notice to me, could I just cancel my Direct Debit and tell them they can disconnect me, should I call and swear that I sent a letter over a month ago :rotfl: .
What are my options, am I gonna have to Bite the bullet and pay another month or is there a way around it ??
Cheers

I wouldnt have thought that there is anything other than writing to them that you can do as whenever you cancel a contract or alter the account holder details you have to put it in writing - I assume this is so there is written evidence should a problem crop up later.
Have you tried logging into your vodafone online at their website and see if it will give you the option there?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
Had a look online but couldnt find anywhere where it lets you cancel..but maybe i'm wrong0

So nobody's emailed them to cancel, or just cancelled over the phone then ??0

I e-mailed them and then sent a letter... I forgot to sign the letter and they sent me a letter telling me to ring them ... they just cancelled it when I called without the 30 days notice ... might just depend who your speak to ...
I reckon send a letter and phone a week later and explain the situation... You never know ... phone company's have the option to cancel without charge ... all depends who you talk to.
Good luck0 -
Tell them that you have sent a letter and how come it hasnt yet been actioned?! I know its a little white lie but...!Weight Loss - 102lb0

Hi,
Sorry to hear of the problems you’ve had cancelling your contract. I work for Vodafone and we do require 30 days written notice including a signature to cancel. For future reference to anybody else you just need to provide the following information:
1- Your billing address in full.
2- Your date of birth.
3- Your landline contact number.
4- Your payment method.
5- Your account and mobile number.
6- Your signature.
You could always send this by fax to 08701616500 or by post to the following address:
