Sky TV installation to multiple rooms

Hi,
I will be having Sky TV installed soon and also want to use freesat/old Sky box in two other rooms to get the basic free channels. As I won't be getting a multi room subscription, will the sky engineer run cable to the extra two locations if asked or only stick to running cable to the official box?
I don't really want to buy cable and run it myself, or if I decide to pay for multiroom with Sky in the future (which is a possibility) pay another engineer call out charge.
Just wondering what kind of experience people have had with this situation.
Thanks.

No, they are over worked and paid a pittance.
Cant see any reason why they install Sky to other rooms for free, if you were to offer a few bob, £20-40 then maybe he will find the time?0 -
They won't touch your other boxes if they not going to be multirooms.Obviously it's still worth asking the engineer tho but they really shouldn't.Also if you decide to take multiroom in future with the old boxes they won't install it for you.
The cabling required really doesn't cost much btw

No they wont,They'll fit exactly what's on the jobsheet. If it's a standard box then it'll be a single LNB fitted. They wont fit a Quad as the job sheet only calls for a single. If it's a Sky+,then he'll fit a quad.Bus as for running cables to your other rooms, then no.
As Kurtis say's,the engineers are overworked & underpaid (I know,I was one!) so to ask the engineer to do work for free that's not on the job sheet is,well, a bit of a cheek. (Tha's how I felt when the !!!!! housewife who's Sky I was installing asked me!)0 -
Fair enough if they can't, paying them on the side to do it or at least asking if they would isn't a problem. I don't mind buying the cable myself it was just getting up the ladder and connecting to LNB (or replacing it) and possible drilling I might have issues with, lol. I will be getting Sky HD so that should be a quad LNB from what spike7451 has said which is good.
The two "extra" rooms I want to have the cable run to are behind the wall the dish will be attached to and the room directly below. The official box will be going into the room on the other side of the house.0
