Um, this is unfair how? You signed up to a contract, the point of which is both sides stick to it for it's duration.
You should have gotten a discount or more free minutes or whatever when you renewed your contract. New phone or less £ per month, otherwise you're insane to do anything other than leave it on the 1 month rolling contract. But it's up to you to make sure you get that, if you didn't well that's your fault.
There's nothing legally or morally that says they should, but it might be in Vf's interest to make you an offer, since you want to pay more, so worth trying out some of the suggestions.0
