Submitted OK - you need to check back up the form when you hit submit if nothing happens to see what you have not completed properly (I missed a Q like the other poster did!)

For the last couple of days, we've been testing our website and everything is working as it should be.

The great news is that the site will be up and running soon, ready for you to apply for one of our free energy efficient fridges! We will also extend the deadline until Monday 9th August so you'll have the opportunity to apply for one.

We've noticed some of you had a try at applying during the testing phase - don't worry - your applications have been accepted.

The page will be temporarily unavailable from 11am today, so watch out for the full official launch details next week via the weekly newsletter from moneysavingexpert.com

And once again, thanks for your patience.

    Best wishes,
    Sally

When will you let people know if they are getting a test product - it's just that my freezer is on it's last legs but I do not want to go out and buy one (cheap as chip, so probably not a laster, just can't afford to be without one!!) just in case that one in a million chance comes through!

  • Does anyone know how long it will be until we know if we have been short listed?? And how will we be contacted? Email?

The closing date is the 9th August and from what I read the fridge freezer (one I applied for) is going to be installed in homes in September. This might be delayed due to the extended closing date.

I guess its wait until the 9th and then keep an eye on calls and emails :D

My current fridge-freezer doors can open at 90 degrees without protruding/ adding anything to the overall width.

So with this fridge-freezer with the door open at 90 degrees the overall width would effectively be 75cm (60cm for the body + 15cm for the door), is this correct?

Just to get an idea of the curve/bulk of the door. If one was to place this fridge-freeze right up against a wall with the door opening against the wall, how far would the door open? (approximate degrees?).

My fridge-freezer would have to sit in the corner of the room with the door opening against the wall, hence the questions.

    Thanks.
