Vodafone - Share Mins

Hello,

I know Vodafone used to do a multi sim where you could have 2 sim cards with the same number, they dont do this anymore. Now all I want to do really is share my mins with my other phone. On vodafone contract. Can anyone help?

Only available on business contracts, sorry.

You would be unable to share minutes between contracts. Each SIM card has its own number and allocation of minutes and texts.

I have never heard of the situation that you describe and think you may have it wrong. Certainly there are business plans that share minutes amongst different numbers in the scheme - I set this up for my company.

If you think about it, what you envisaged wouldn't work as there is the potential for the 2 sims to be used simultaneously or, if sim 1 was in a call, what would happen if sim 2 was trying to make an outbound call? would both phones ring if there was an incoming call? Would texts go to both phones?

What Orange did have at one time was for a phone to have a 2nd line (ie 1 phone, 2 numbers - the opposite of what you want)

The 2 sim thing was meant to be one for your phone and one for your car kit (as some were a complete pain to get in and out). There was a special product for the acc screens that allowed the same number to be attached to 2 different sim card numbers.
I think it may have been discontinued and (I believe) it caused some 'issues' on the network servers...

thanks for every ones replies. Now wondering if they will transfer my personal contract to a business contract.

Was there not a family package where you could share your allowances between upto 4 or so numbers?

If you have a business or are a sole trader you can.
