Sorry - I will. Composed a long post last week and tried to post but was told I needed to be registered and logged in - which I was. I am having a few problems with my log in and don't know why. Will continue later as I am at work now and it will be a long one!!

:( A few months ago while looking for shoes I saw a pair on their website which looked really nice. I ordered them thinking I would be able to get them mail order by account. I then had a communication from them saying I couldn't have an account due to my credit rating. This meant joining Experian and a whole lot of other hassle. (I have no debts but owing to Magnet taking 2 lots of money from my credit card payment I had a temporary glitch around that time). The shoes looked good so I used my credit card to order and somehow lost a discount I had previously been given but that's OK.

The shoes took 2 weeks to arrive and my telephone calls only confirmed they had left the warehouse! When I finally received them I have to admit they were beautiful, and well worth the money but unfortunately they did not fit. I had ordered EEE width which is very wide but I couldn't get them on my feet!

I couldn't work out how to return them so phoned up S.Be. The nice lady said Oh don't worry I'll get them picked up for you! They will be collected by courier (Hermes) within 48 hours. "What great service" I thought. One week later after putting the shoes out on our garden bench for a week, still no pick-up. I then phoned again to be told, "Oh very sorry, I'll put through another request" and they'll definitely be collected within 48 hours.

Despite numerous phone calls they have still not been collected, I have spoken to supervisors, managers (Calum I think his name was) but still no joy. The company seems incapable of instructing a courier to collect them Then this week after the umpteenth phone call a lady said "why don't you just take them to the PO" Well I said if I had been asked to do that at the beginning I would have had no problem with that but you have told me repeatedly you will pick them up. She then said that the problem was probably due to the fact I live in a rural area as the courier would have to come further.

I told her this did not inspire confidence in me for ordering any other items in the future from Simply Be and I do not really trust them to refund my money as, 5 weeks later it is well outside the returns period. The nice lady however assured me that I would. So, tomorrow I will put the parcel in my car, drive to the PO and hope for the best.

So the problem seems to be with the carrier not simply be, if you have a look at other threads you will see many others have similar problems with Hermes, it is a bit unfair to blame the company because of it's carrier.
Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.

Ive used simply be for about 3 years. i use them about 6-7 times a year. Ive *touch wood* never had a problem.
Usually on the parcels i get delivered there is a sticker with the mobile number of the lady who delivered it (working for Hermes) Shes called Dot and i now know her well enough to say hello if i see her in the street.

Simply Be are usually very good, i had a top that i had about a month, then wore it twice, the second time after it was washed it started falling apart, i was outside the 28 days to return, but they let me send it back and they replaced it for me without any arguement, same happened with a bra when the underwire fell out after one wear.

Delivery times can sometimes be a little long. But in general ive had a great service. I think your bad service was more a part of Hermes.

Well I am truly pleased that most have had good service and no complaints. I will send parcel back and just hope I get my money back. I do object to having to make many phone calls at premium rates which I do not think is good customer service. I did try e mailing but it wouldn't let me send it saying it was 'incomplete' - it wasn't!

you could have just taken them to the post office as its free returns.

Yeah I know that now but as a new customer, when I rang up to enquire - and on subsequent occasions, I was told courier would call.

As luck would have it, courier called yesterday and OH explained I had taken parcel to PO after waiting 5 weeks. Lady who used to cover our area eg QVC etc, was now covering a more densely populated patch which was more cost effective for her but had been asked to 'step-in'. She told OH that she had been drafted in as the person who was meant to be in our area was rubbish and loads of problems. At least I know what the problem was - Hermes. I still think Simply Be could be better informed about what's happening 'out there'!
