Britain’s Best Company

  • Despite the earlier point about Nationwide being a mutual, I voted for them - a fantastic company, treats both it's staff and it's customers well!

Sainsburys are also pretty good (at least near me!), and would have been a second choice if you could have that!

  • Boooooo - Tescos!! Yuk! They have been the death knell for too many local independant shops and I can't help but worry about the conditions their cheap clothes are produced in.

Co-op for me - small, local, friendly, lots of Fairtrade products and divvies. Royal Mail 2nd choice for all the millions of pieces of mail they do successfully deliver each day for a pittance.
  • I think there should have been an option "Nonoe of these" ;)

Although I wouldn't have said this last year when they were trying to rob me of nearly £300 for my mortgage deeds (sorted it in the end) going to go for A&L purely for the effort they are putting into leading the current account interest rate drive at the moment - who would have thought we would have been talking about current accounts paying over 6% a couple of years ago. However their customer service is not meant to be the best and I have a feeling I am going to regret this post....

Where is First Direct?? they are great :(

I opted for Sainsburys but only for my local one, as the staff in their are really good, been into some dire ones....but then the list is dire and there was no option for none of the above.....

First Direct are in Leeds and my dad works for them so he will be really pleased to hear that :o)
