  • Hi everyone,

    I know nobody likes a smart-ar*e...And that I`m new.

But... why are there only 49 companies listed? - If Halifax and Bank of Scotland are individual (thus making the 50) why are they not separate in the chart?

    Just a thought...

Anyway, Hi everyone - I`m BigWad.
  • How on earth can Tesco be 2nd??????
They have the worst attitude out of all the supermarkets. It comes to something when a company that wants to 'rule the world' is given such support from this country.
I boycotted Tesco years ago and haven't missed it one bit. I know so many small companies that have been bankcrupted by Tesco to save themselves a penny,I'm disgusted! If people knew the half of how they treat suppliers......
I'll shut up now i've had my moan!
  • My DS (4) loves Ikea, he likes the food, playing in the bedrooms in the kids own space and there is a playground outside and he behaves like an angel all the way round the market hall knowing that the wonderfull ice cream machines where you buy the cone and pop it in are at the end. We don't really shop for furniture, just pop in there for tea on our way out of Lakeside to give him a treat! Oh and he doesn't want to go in the play place there - its too much fun in store.

We spent a nice afternoon in Ikea the other day with our two five-year-olds, playing in the playground outside, eating a good and (fairly) healthy dinner in the cafe (20p for a kids meal) whilst enjoying watching CBeebies on the TV for free. I've yet to find any other store in Britain that is anywhere near as family-friendly as Ikea. Could that be one reason why you don't see many branches of MFI around any more?

Plus, where's the likes of Bravissimo? Can't be beaten for service...

I am stunned to see Woolworths even on the list?

Has anyone been in there lately?

The staff are very nice, but my time is wasted in the queue while they bombard people and me with extra sales and stuff I don't want.
I don't want to order it, i want to buy it in the shop.; that's what I went in there for; I've got internet at home; I can order stuff from anywhere.
I REALLY HATE IT. PLEASE STOP.

I've given up shopping in there and other shops like it because it P's me off. aaargh!

Just let me buy what I want. Instore. Please.
  • Why on earth are'nt Lakeland on the list? Their products, service, and customer support are perfection. They set the benchmark for the way companies should treat their customers.

Where is First Direct?? they are great :(

I opted for Sainsburys but only for my local one, as the staff in their are really good, been into some dire ones....but then the list is dire and there was no option for none of the above.....

Ikea claims to be Swedish, but my recent experience suggests its practices originate in Cairo's beggar's market, though in fairness that is probably an uniintentional insult to the latter.

Although price/quality at Ikea favours the customer, everything else is abysmal, in particular its claim to be "family friendly." Exactly whose family? Taking young children shopping for furniture is idiotic
Ikea, for me would've been the best - clever designs - simple, elegant, and classy - the best of all that they are disposable furniture / products considering the low price and it's just a perfect place to shop for foreigners who are on the move.

On the given list - I've voted for the Royal Mail - excellant service and a very useful website

I wish Powergen becomes history soon - substandard on all accounts
