Buyer now claims item was NAD

Hi can i just ask for some advice.
I am a relatively new seller on ebay - have only sold 4 items so far so not sure how it all works.
I listed four xbox 360 games for sale and they were purchased by someone with 100% feedback.
The games were posted to the buyer about 2 weeks ago , sent first class so he has now had them in his possession for 12 days.
This morning i have received a really cheeky email from him stating that i have sold him RUBBISH as 2 of the games do not work. He states that he is attempting to play them on a top of the range xbox console so he says the fault lays in the actual game disc.
Thing is , before i sent these games to him i personally tested each and every one and all four were working perfectly.
I am dubious for a few reasons: I am concerned that he may have some how copied the games and as such has got 4 new games for the small fee of the £2 postal charge (as his intention was probably ALWAYS just to receive the games...copy them and then open a NAD dispute).
OR:
He already owns the games but they are scratched/damaged/no longer play and so his intention was always to receive my games and swap them wit hhis damaged ones and return HIS broken ones for a full refund.
Either way , the games were fully working when they were posted.
What should i do ?

Tell him to return the items for a refund. You can fight it if you want to. But the liklihood id this is what paypal would decide anyway. At least if you offer this you may keep the buyer on side.0

Hi Joanne, there's not much you can do but tell him to return the items for a refund - God only knows what discs you'll get back though. I wouldn't refund until you have received them. It's a shame one of your first experiences at Ebay was like this - most buyers are genuine and sincere, you get the odd unscrupulous one which ruins it. Hope you get it sorted. x0

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply.
Its things like this which would put me off selling on ebay.
I KNOW the games were working just fine so the fact of the matter is that he is going to get to keep the games (as he has either copied them of swapped them for his own damaged discs) and also obtain a full refund.
Thanks again x0 -
If it were me, I'd be very careful about accepting the items back. Even shops exclude games/computer software from the returns policy once they've been opened and as you say, you have no idea whether he is trying to return his damaged ones.
Maybe you could phone PayPal and ask them for advice?0 -

If the buyer files a SNAD dispute it's more than likely he will win, so the seller will have to accept the return.0 -
I'd reassure him that the discs were tested the day before sending, and definitely worked. Ask him to try them again.
Why would he be claiming only TWO of the games done work, and not all 4?
I'd be wary about accepting them back, as he's probably just copied them!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Hi , yes i think he may have copied them as well which means he now has four bloody games for the mere price of the postage !
I stated on my listing that no refunds would be accepted......surely that covers me ? No ?0 -

No, that doesn't cover you, so you're best removing it from your listings. If a buyer opens a SNAD dispute via Paypal it's very hard for you as the seller to prove they are lying, so you will, in most cases be required to accept the return and refund.0 -
Tell him that you marked the discs & if he returns the same ones back you will give him a refund.
& get him to send recorded delivery because if you dont receive them he is not getting a refund.
& tell him he is not getting the cost of postage back. Not Again0 -
As everyone else has stated, you're going to end up having to accept them back and refunding.
Tell the buyer to return them to you. If the buyer posts them back without using a signed-for method, any paypal claim on their part would fail, as they wouldn't be able to prove delivery back to you. It's up to you whether or not you point this out to your buyer.0
