I would try the historic dockyard car park, it is closer and cheaper than gunwharf quays. It is smaller though, but I parked there last august without any problems

Staying near Fareham & reception near Fareham so will have to get back there directly after wedding . Will try for the historic dockyard carpark if its full try the Gunwharf car park . Cant really park in Southsea Wife will be 7 months pregnant and my Grandad is over 80 and walks with stick might be abit unfair on them

    Stef,

    has grandad got blue badges?

Might change things as you won't be in the area very long. I think everyone assumed you would be down there all day.

There are other nearby carparks, if you go to google maps and look for Wickham Street, then that's closer than Gunwharf.

The naval base is open Friday July 30th to Sunday 1st August for the Navy Days. This is where one ticket gets you in to the whole historic dockyard (Victory, Warrior etc.) but also Modern Navy ships including Aircraft carriers, HMS Daring and foreign naval ships too!

Think there is a park and ride on saturdays that parks up in the IBM car park at coldharbour and goes into town.

    Yes there is. See here.
