Ha ha spend spend spend - I would be disappointed if a cherry bakewell turned up and I was expecting a bag!:rotfl:Kipling is also a brand of bags, you may have gathered!

crazyy3n - thanks for the link - it does support my suspicions (you do start to think you may be imagining it in these situations)

cestlavie - I've checked Kipling's website and unfortunately I can't see the detail to really confirm or deny my suspicions (e.g. stitching, zip, badge) so I will hunt out a retailer (though none remotely close to me, hence buying online, which is kind of irritating as I may as well have gone to a reputable shop in the first place for the sake of a couple of quid - though not very MSEish I know!). Will take CompingQueen's advice and see if I can get to a Kipling retailer this weekend for an opinion.

I would definitely contact the seller first. Most sellers won't want negative feedback

I've had fakes on three occassions, and the first two times I got arefund from the seller.

The third time, the seller refused to admit they were fake and I had to open a paypal dispute, it was a total ball ache but I did get my money back.

If you can't find a retailer, then see if you can find a distributor willing to help, you may be able to email them pictures that they can verify from. It's a long shot but when I contacted a distributor they put me in touch with the Fraud department in LA for the company who then verified from my pics that the items were fake. I included this email with my other evidence for paypal.
